Why your business needs a real Arabic website for Gulf markets

Published / 2 min read

Many businesses work with customers in the UAE, Qatar and Oman, yet their website exists in one language, or in a machine-translated Arabic version. The result: Arabic-speaking customers either never find the site on Google or close it within seconds.

Google ranks every language separately

To Google, your Arabic and English pages are different pages. Without a proper Arabic version you simply don't appear for searches like "web design Dubai" in Arabic. Every language needs its own URL, its own title and description, and correct hreflang tags.

Translation isn't enough: localise

  • Gulf Arabic search terms don't always match formal written Arabic
  • Currency, WhatsApp number and working hours must make sense to a Gulf customer
  • A proper right-to-left layout and a readable Arabic typeface build trust

Where to start

A three-language site with the right structure, a Google Business Profile and a few service pages with genuine Arabic content usually brings the first Gulf enquiries within the first months. That's what we've done for our clients in the UAE.
